REASONS TO REFER BRIDGEWAY

At Bridgeway, we only work with patients who are under the care of at least one licensed mental healthcare provider (psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, mental health counselor).  We believe IV ketamine is a complement to, not a replacement for, a broader mental health plan.

With consent from the patient, we will provide periodic updates to keep everyone on the same page.

Contraindications & Side Effects

Psychiatric Contraindications
  • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Unresolved trauma (relative)
  • Psychotic Disorder/symptoms
  • Mania episode (Bipolar is not a contraindication as long as not in a manic episode)
Medical Contraindications
  • Poorly controlled hypertension
  • History of intracranial hemorrhage, AVMs, aneurysmal disease
  • Pregnancy
Common Side Effects
  • Risks and side effects associated with the route of administration
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Anxiety or agitation secondary to dissociation
  • Increased blood pressure
